This Week in Events (10/26-11/1)

Hey guys! We've got a busy week coming up! Here are the details:

Monday Night: Cookout on the Green at 5:30 pm. Not sure what's on the menu, but Stuart hasn't failed us yet. So come on over to UWF and get some free food and have a great time!

Tuesday Night: Bible Study at St. Luke at 6:30 pm. We're still going through the I AM sayings, so come check it out! And we may or may not be doing something different from our normal dinner afterward, but we'll leave that up for decision later. I will tell you it involves free pizza, a nature trail at night, and glowsticks.

WEDNESDAY!!!!: Cookout on the Green at UWF from 11 am to 2 pm. We'll be raising money to provide wells in Nigerian villages and have a great time doing it! So if you're anywhere near UWF during those hours, stop by! Don't worry, you don't have to stay the whole time, but we'd love to see you there and any help would be great!

Saturday Night: Service at Cokesbury UMC at 6:30. Come hear Stuart talk about the Apostle's Creed, and dinner afterwards.

This Week in Event (10/19-10/24)

Sorry we didn't post last week, but here is our schedule.

Monday: Study at UWF BLDG 10 Rm 102 @5:30. Come and bring a friend as we learn about our faith and discuss as Stuart leads us through the Nooma video series by Rob Bell. And there is food, which is always a plus.

Tuesday: Fair Night! Meet at St. Luke UMC at 6:00 (not 6:30) to ride together to the fair. Bring cash for food, games, and tickets. Jeff is trying to get us free passes, but if not, bring money for admission as well. We will be back at St. Luke before 10:00

Saturday: Horror Movie Night! First, worship at Cokesbury UMC @ 6:00. Then, we will order food and watch the film (TBD). We have not found a destination yet, but it will probably be Cokesbury. We will let you know soon, so keep eye out in the coming days.

Also, next monday we will cook out on the Greens at UWF, so find a friend to invite. Also, on Wednesday from 11-1, we will again be cooking out on the Green, this time to raise money for the H20 Project, which is support Mary Ann and her organization as the raise funds to build a well or two in a nearby village.

Events for the Week of Oct 5th

Hey, everyone. Welcome to the new website. We are still tweaking and building on, but this is the layout for now. Come back every week to see what new feature has been added. Here is our schedule.

Monday Oct 7th: Study and discussoin at UWF. Come to Bldg 10 Rm 102 @ 5:30 and join us as we view the newest Nooma videos from Rob Bell and discuss the topic. Also, cookies are provided by the United Methodist Women. What more could you want?

Tuesday Oct 8th: Bible study at St. Luke UMC @ 6:30. We just finished a great video series, so now is the perfect time to join us as we begin a new area of study. We have had a lot of people join us, so come early so you can get a seat. And, as always, dinner and fellowship afterward.

Saturday Oct 11th: Worship at Cokesbury UMC @ 6:00. Stuart has been sharing an amazing message on each line of the Apostles' Creed for the last couple weeks. This week, he will be talking about "he ascended into heaven," so it should be pretty interesting. We will get dinner afterwards, so come for a time of worship, praise, and fellowship.

Sunday Oct 12th: Feeding the homeless at the Washburn Center. Meet at St. Luke before 12:30PM to help Jeff prepare the meal we will be serving to the homeless. Then we will ride together to WC and serve lunch at 1:00. This is a wonderful mission experience, and we hope you can join us serve "the least of these."

Also, get ready for the fair, Stagefright, and a cookout in the coming weeks!

Grace & Peace

Saturday Night Info

We will meet at 5 at St. Luke. We will carpool to Marcus Pointe Baptist Church and arrive by 5:45, if you want to meet us there. After the event, we will eat dinner together somewhere. We are not on that side of town usually, so let's try something new. Any suggestions?

Don't forget about our Homeless ministry Sunday morning. Jeff needs extra hands in the kitchen, so come early. And after we are done, it is off to the Museum of Commerce for Stuart and Jen's reception.
